St. john's night

My favorite festivity My favorite festivity is the St. John’s night that is celebrated every in June 24th.
The roots of St. Jonh's night celebration are lost in time. Our ancestors believed that the sun was in love with the earth and resisted abandoning it. And so it began to be celebrated on the last night of spring, around June 24th, which is the shortest of the year. This would unite the superstition that day was the ideal to scare off evil spirits and attract good, as well as to deliver love and fertility enchantments. With the advent of Christianity, the night of St. John remained, but lost its magical character and adopted a new meaning. According to the sacred texts, Zechariah sent a bonfire to announce to his relatives the birth of his son, John the Baptist, who coincided whit the night of the summer solstice. To commemorate that date, the Christmas of middle ages lit large bonfires and held several rites around them. In them was always present the sing of the cross.
Principally, too me this festivity indicate renovation for the persons and principally for the being
